Discover a bit of history at your pace. Six architecturally unique plantation homes and gardens are open to the public for tours. A nationally recognized historic district can be found in the quaint town of St. Francisville, situated along the banks of the Mississippi River. Historical markers briefly tell the age of the houses and buildings. Interpretive programs are held at the two State Historic Sites in the parish so you can really, and sometimes literally, put your hands around the subject or sink your teeth into it!
