Founded in 1965, the Angola Rodeo is the longest-running prison rodeo in the country. The event’s riders are actual Louisiana State Penitentiary inmates. Additionally, attendees can explore an arts and crafts store. The festival started as entertainment for inmates, guards and citizens and continues to provide today.
